Next Generation HID Lighting Systems by WAT for Diamond aircraft

Whelen Aerospace Technologies (WAT) Diamond DA-40 series wing landing and taxi light installation kit. This kit features a new landing and taxi rectangular light assembly. Each lamp is independently powered by the WAT 28V 85-watt ballasts, giving this system multi redundancy. The system comes with all components needed for installation.


Whelen Aerospace Technologies’ specialty is the engineering and manufacturing of High Intensity Discharge (HID) lighting system. We manufacture complete kits for multiple makes and models for Federal Aviation Administration Part 23, Part 25, and Part 27 aircraft. Each kit carries a supplemental Type Certificate (STC) and Part Manufacturing Approval (PMA) covering over 300 aircraft models. We deliver complete upgrade systems to replace older technology which would include incandescent lamps and poorly performing LED lights.
