Turbine Preheat System – Pratt and Whitney PW500 series
Preheat is supplied through electrical resistance elements in the form of thin pads sized to fit reduction gearboxes, oil tanks and coolers, fuel controller and heat exchanger. Power is routed to the elements through a dedicated wiring assembly with circuit overload protection and power indicator light, and accommodations for battery heat kit. System is self-regulating, heated components reach an average state of thermal equilibrium in approximately six hours.
This preheat kit when installed will supply 525 watts with a 4.6 amp draw at 115 volts.
This preheat kit when installed will supply 525 watts with a 2.3 amp draw at 230 volts.
