Engine Preheat System – P&W 9 cylinder engines

This preheat kit contains electrical resistance heat elements located on each cylinder assembly, and six pad heat elements (engine crankcase, hydraulic tank, oil cooler, and 2 or 1 on engine oil tank). This multipoint configuration fully preheats the engine and attached accessories for reduced wear on startup and reduced run-up times at any temperature. Power is routed to the elements through a dedicated wiring assembly with system power indication and circuit overload protection. System is self-regulating through design. Heated components reach an average state of thermal equilibrium in approximately six hours.

The preheat kit will supply either:

• 730 watts with a 6.4 amp draw at 115 volts for a small engine oil tank
• 850 watts with a 7.4 amp draw at 115 volts for a large engine oil tank
• 730 watts with a 3.2 amp draw at 230 volts for a small engine oil tank
• 850 watts with a 3.7 amp draw at 230 volts for a large engine oil tank
